St George’s Day Special
An alternative celebration of Englishness, recorded for our Rinse FM show on St George's Day: 40 minutes of Caribbean-influenced UK music.
Featuring everything from 1980s dancehall/soca by fast-chat pioneer Peter King (shout to John Eden for the hook up!) to 21st century bashy house courtesy of Lady Chann, Gappy Ranks and Maxwell D.
Other highlights include Tippa Irie and Suncycle on productions by the decidedly non-English Mungo's Hi Fi out of Edinburgh, plus YT and Riko riding classic Jammy's riddims Agony and Sleng Teng respectively.
