Riko Dan Bashment/Grime Set
Riko's third appearance alongside The Heatwave since 2005, this time in The Pool's intimate basement at our last ever event there before the venue was sold. The Roll Deep MC was as electric as ever on the mic, riding bashment riddims like Applause, Good To Go and Gang War alongside grimey instrumentals including Wiley's sparse Igloo Bass Mix of his hit Wot Do U Call It.
As well as vocalling these riddims, Riko hosted the dance for an hour, entertaining the crowd with his ruminations on topics such as Arsenal, the in-laws and his state of intoxication/inebriation!
