Lil Jon - Soca Fire Riddim

Lil Jon jumps on the soca train with 150 beats per minute of crunked-up Caribbean craziness. It's sparser than most island productions, though certainly no less energetic, propelled by whistles and rollicking percussion.

As well as producing the beat, the grandmaster of hype pops up all shouty on Pitbull and Machel Montano's brilliant Floor On Fire:

The other cuts on the rhythm don't really match up to Floor On Fire, but they make a nice juggling segment still. Ricky T of St Lucia echoes Pitbull's Spanish lyrics in co-opting the bullfighting chant of 'Olé':
